Nivedita Menon, ‘Sexuality, Nation, Community and Women’, Based on Presentation Made at PRISM panel at WSF, Mumbai (2004)
Menon in her piece explores the ideas around the nation and masculinity, the idea of honour and women and how the Indian women’s movement has largely remained homophobic. Furthermore she points out how we have only looked at the critique around the aspects of family and not the institution of family itself. Document available here.
